  • Building Committee Audit of good practices/future plans

  • Visits to gain vision/ideas for our building/grounds

  • Regular  environmental work in church grounds

  • Installation of Bike storage blocks

  • Installing recycling bank in partnership with TMBC/Air Ambulance for church and public use

  • Recycled paper used for news sheet and church notepaper

  • Arboreal Management in grounds

Mission - reaching out to the local community:

  • Formation of IDEA (Improving Davyhulmes Environmental Awareness) to spearhead community awareness

  • Hosting Community meetings on environmental topics

  • Community Events eg St Georges Bazaar, Harvest and Scarecrow Festival

  • Marathon Hopscotch, which included linked local schools with Community Artist, musician, poet, singer and story teller working on a creation theme

  • IDEA members interact with local bodies especially on environmental issues

  • Newsletters to members

  • Recycling small items through community groups

  • Hosting Trafford in Bloom Judges lunch

  • Articles in Local Papers. Letters to papers

  • Library display in all local libraries to inform people of IDEA
